| Concerning Evangelism And Discipleship |
| It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Jesus Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. The work of evangelism is to be carried out by all individuals who are truly born again and is not to be understood to be the domain of those in church leadership only. The scriptures plainly teach that it is the personal responsibility of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by personal efforts as well as all additional means which are in harmony with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The work of soul winning is to be carried out everywhere that believers go in the course of their daily lives and is not to be exclusively reserved for the Sunday gathering of the church. It is to be further acknowledged that each and every believer is responsible to teach those whom God brings into their life the things of God as they are able to do so. The apostle Paul told Timothy; "Thou therefore, my son , be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also."( II Timothy 2:2) |
