| Note that God called the works which men will present at the day of accounting as payment for the sin debt works of iniquity. How then can one be accepted by God and have their name written in that book of life? Someone must pay in blood. There is no other way for it is written;" Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin..." (Hebrews 9: 22). The good news is that someone has already stepped forward and paid that required price! His name is Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us plainly that; "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believed in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). We are also told ; " For the Father judgeth no man but hath committed all judgement unto the Son." (John 14: 6) When Jesus was crucified upon a cross, buried , and then arose the third day afterward it was as your substitute that he did so. No other person in history has ever done that for you. No other ever will. He and He alone paid the debt that you and I owe God the Father. Just knowing this is not sufficient to reserve your home in heaven however. You have a choice to make. God has made available to you a gift. You cannot earn or buy it. You must choose to either accept it or reject it. If you attempt to substitute ANYTHING else for the gift of love He offers unto you that is saying no to the only thing that will obtain for you God's acceptance. Will you accept God's free gift of eternal life? You may do so where ever you are at this moment. Jesus stands ready to receive you and write your name in the book of life , which will stamp your sin debt P A I D if you will but receive His gift to you. It does not matter who you are or what you have done. The blood of Jesus Christ covers ALL sin if you will but accept Him. To do so you must admit unto Him that you are a sinner. Then be willing from this moment forward to give control of your life unto Him. Then ask Him to forgive you for all of your sins and come into your life as Lord of your life. Saying the words is not enough to obtain God's salvation. We are told ; " For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation " (Romans 10:10 ) You must believe that God will do what he said He will do .
